This agreement marks a significant milestone for the production, reinforcing SIC Portugal’s presence in the international market and positioning Portuguese stories as high-quality scripted content across various territories. The announcement comes as SIC prepares for MIPCOM 2026, where its content sales team will present a new version of “Vitória,” restructured into three seasons comprising 77, 39, and 24 episodes, respectively.
Adapted from the acclaimed Turkish series “Gülperi” (from TIMS and Global Agency), the telenovela tells the story of Vitória, who discovers that her father-in-law, Manuel Mendonça, is a criminal willing to do anything to gain power. After her husband’s death, she attempts to protect her children but ends up in prison and loses custody of them. Two years later, she is released, determined to win them back. With the support of João a brilliant lawyer and her first love she confronts Manuel Mendonça to reclaim her family and bring the truth to light.

Part of the SIC International Distribution catalog, “Vitória” marks a milestone in SIC’s distribution strategy as the first drama to debut via a multi-platform launch in collaboration with the streaming service Disney+. The five weekly episodes are released on Opto and Disney+ every Sunday, prior to their linear broadcast on SIC.
The distribution strategies led by Carlota Vieira are innovative, and the focus on high quality adaptations combines storytelling with broad international appeal.
At MIPCOM, Europe’s largest television market, the team will also showcase a diverse range of content, including its latest productions “Chapters of Life”, based on “Pages of Life” created by creator and writer Manoel Carlos, a format licensed by TV Globo, and “Broken Promise”, based on the Turkish format “Ruthless City”, along with a programming of short series and factual content.
