The Madrid delegation is rolling out an intensive slate of industry activity in Berlin under the Madrid Make it Possible umbrella brand, bringing together the joint efforts of the Clúster Audiovisual de Madrid, Film Madrid Region and Madrid Film Office to consolidate the sector’s international reach and strengthen strategic alliances across the European marketplace.
The event, brought together producers, sales agents, distributors, buyers and international industry stakeholders from Germany, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Spain, the United States, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Mexico, Norway, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Uruguay.
Clúster Audiovisual de Madrid, in collaboration with Madrid Film Office and Film Madrid Region, hosted a professional industry gathering this Saturday within the framework of the European Film Market (EFM), held in parallel with the Berlinale.
The event, staged at the Wandelbar space of the Marriott Hotel, brought together producers, sales agents, distributors, buyers and international industry stakeholders from Germany, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Spain, the United States, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Mexico, Norway, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Uruguay.
Teresa Azcona, Managing Director of the Clúster Audiovisual de Madrid, outlined the organization’s strategic roadmap and key objectives before an audience of member companies and several Board representatives, who endorsed the initiative and underscored the collective commitment to strengthening, scaling and internationalizing Madrid’s audiovisual ecosystem.
Institutional backing from the regional and city governments was also highlighted, with participation from representatives of Film Madrid Region — the audiovisual office of the Community of Madrid — and Madrid Film Office — the audiovisual office of the Madrid City Council — who detailed the public support mechanisms available to the sector and reaffirmed their commitment to fostering industry growth across both the region and the city.
During the session, Cluster members also took the floor, including Rafael Alberola, Head of ECAM Industria, who spotlighted ECAM Forum, the international co-production platform championing emerging talent and spearheaded by the Madrid Film School.
The Cluster’s Internationalization Committee was likewise represented by Iberseries & Platino Industria. Samuel Castro, co-director of this flagship international gathering for the Ibero-American audiovisual industry, announced that its sixth edition will take place from 29 September to 2 October 2026 at Matadero Madrid, once again convening leading professionals across development, production, financing and distribution of Spanish- and Portuguese-language film and series content.
Now firmly established as the leading international business platform for audiovisual content in these languages, Iberseries & Platino Industria has become a strategic hub for producers, distributors, buyers and streaming platforms from Ibero-America and Europe.
The Madrid delegation at EFM is operating under the umbrella brand Madrid Make it Possible, aligning the joint action of Film Madrid Region, Madrid Film Office and the Clúster Audiovisual de Madrid with the aim of reinforcing the region’s positioning as a strategic production hub within the global audiovisual landscape.
Cluster member companies are also maintaining a strong presence across both the market and the Berlinale’s parallel programming, actively showcasing Madrid-linked talent, production capacity and industry know-how on the international stage.
