The Television Academy has entered into a strategic partnership with Parrot Analytics, a global leader in intellectual property (IP) valuation and entertainment data analytics. As the Academy’s official data analytics partner, Parrot Analytics will provide custom insights regarding audience intelligence, valuation, and brand affinity to support strategic planning for the Emmy® Awards and the Academy’s broader programming, outreach, and membership initiatives.

Parrot Analytics will help the Academy better understand audience composition, demand, sentiment, and affinity in key markets; evaluate the reach and value of distribution opportunities; and identify collaboration opportunities involving content, talent, and brands.

“As the television landscape continues to evolve, having timely insights is essential for planning the Academy’s annual initiatives,” said Susan Spencer, Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President of Media and Brand Management at the Television Academy. “Parrot Analytics will provide us with a deeper understanding of audience reach, composition, and affinity in key markets, helping us make more informed strategic decisions while remaining true to our mission of celebrating excellence.”

This data will support the Academy’s strategic planning, programming, and partnership development but will not influence the Emmy Awards competition or voting processes. “For nearly 80 years, the Television Academy has set the standard for celebrating television excellence,” said Wared Seger, CEO of Parrot Analytics. “It is an honor for us to contribute our expertise in valuation, audience demand, and brand affinity to support the Academy’s strategic priorities and help strengthen the reach and value of its flagship programs and partnerships.”

Drawing on audience behavior data from over two billion people worldwide, Parrot Analytics’ enterprise-grade AI platform offers a global view of how content, talent, and brands connect with audiences, incorporating safeguards that prevent client data from being used to train general-purpose AI models.

Parrot Analytics recently hosted a panel at the Academy’s Televerse 26 festival, exploring how audiences and executives identify stories with international potential, which countries are leading the global expansion of intellectual property (IP), and how foreign trends influence and define which content makes it to air.
