Jerry Diaz steps into VP of Gobal Sales & Distribution position at growing studio, which continues to produce and distribute original children’s content for TVOKids, Hulu, CBC Kids and others.

Vancouver-based Big Bad Boo Studios, announced this week the expansion of their Sales and Distribution team with the appointment of Jerry Diaz as the Vice President of Global Sales and Distribution. A veteran of the industry and former VP Sales and Distribution at Nelvana and Wildbrain, Jerry has more than 30 years of experience, having built sales and distribution channels for iconic brands such as Bob the Builder, Clifford the Big Red Dog, and Backyardigans.

Aly Jetha, CEO and Co-founder said, “we’re ecstatic to welcome Jerry. He brings a wealth of experience to increase our reach into new markets as we continue to grow.” Big Bad Boo’s library has grown recently with the addition of originals such as Galapagos X, The Bravest Knight, and Judge Jodhi. “In addition to growing sales of Big Bad Boo’s Library, Diaz will be focused on representing like-minded properties for sales to broadcasters and streaming platforms” Jetha added.

The company has several shows across various age groups in production, including preschool series 16 Hudson, nominated for a Canadian Screen Award, a YMA Award and an Anthem Award, and was recently greenlit for a fourth season. The animation pipeline is also busy with climate change series Galapagos X and 1001 Nights, the flagship property recanting the oldest collection of stories including Sinbad, Ali Baba and Aladdin.
