CNN will present special live coverage of the coronation of KING CHARLES III

Host Anderson Cooper will headline CNN’s special live coverage on Saturday, May 6 from 5 am ET outside Buckingham Palace with analysis and reporting by Christiane Amanpour and Max Foster.

CNN is a division of Warner Bros. Discovery. It will also provide the perspective of Commonwealth countries, including India, Australia and Kenya. CNN Digital will provide users with comprehensive coverage in the days leading up to the coronation, including an immersive interactive on King Charles III.

CNN presenters Richard Quest and Julia Chatterley will contribute to the coverage from the network’s London studio along with the channel’s royal historian Kate Williams, the network’s royal commentators Emily Nash, Sally Bedell Smith and contributor Trisha Goddard. They will provide analysis and share their unique perspectives on the historic coronation.

Reporters will be positioned along the route of the coronation procession, including Bianca Nobilo in front of Westminster Abbey, Salma Abdelaziz and Matthew Chance, who will report live from the crowds gathered along the Mall, and Anna Stewart. CNN reporters will also provide the perspective of Commonwealth countries, including India, Australia and Kenya.

It will also broadcast early coverage of the coronation from 1 am ET with host Isa Soares outside Buckingham Palace and live updates from Nada Bashir, Christina Macfarlane and Anna Stewart in London.

The program included a preview of the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla in a new episode of The Whole Story with Anderson Cooper this past Sunday, April 30 at 8 pm ET. Reported by Erica Hill, “The Reign Begins: Charles and Camilla” features interviews with leading experts on the British royal family and many close to the Windsors as they reflect on the past, present and future of these new sovereigns.

CNN Digital will provide users with comprehensive coverage in the days leading up to the coronation, including an immersive interactive on King Charles III and the new royal line of succession, photo galleries, explanations, a special coronation edition of the Royal News newsletter and live updates on coronation day.

The Coronation of King Charles III will air on Saturday, May 6 from 5 am to 12 pm ET on CNN, CNN International and CNN en Español.

Coverage of The Coronation of King Charles III will be broadcast live, without the need for cable, from 5am to 10am ET/10am to 3pm BST for viewers around the world to watch online. The broadcast will be available on CNN.com and through the CNN apps for iOS and Android. It can also be viewed on the CNN apps for Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire, Chromecast, and Android TV.
