ABS-CBN Philippines celebrates this first-ever event in Africa with two artists who have been a hit in primetime.

The historic event, “Kapamilya Live in Kenya,” on June 28, will be headlined by Coco Martin, the primetime star, and Julia Montes, the lead actress, whose primetime shows have been hits in Africa, such as “Walang Hanggan” (“My Eternal”), “Doble Kara,” “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” (“Brothers”), among others.

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN’s hit action drama series “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” (“Gangs of Manila”), starring Coco, is currently airing in Africa. A rerun of Coco and Julia’s romantic drama, “Walang Hanggan” (“My Eternal”), will premiere in July, and Julia’s drama, “Saving Grace,” will premiere in September. All of these series are available on StarTimes.

ABS-CBN announced a media partnership for “Kapamilya Live in Kenya.” StarTimes, Africa’s leading digital television operator, was selected as the main sponsor, while KTN, one of Kenya’s leading television networks, will provide live coverage of the event.

AFRICA LOVES DRAMAS AND SERIES

ABS-CBN’s popular programs have been broadcast in Africa since 2003, captivating African homes with ABS-CBN series, dramas, and telenovelas. Recent titles such as “Can’t Buy Me Love,” “Lavender Fields,” “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?” and “Senior High,” to name a few, have achieved high ratings.
