PRODU 2025 AWARDS WITH A FOCUS ON DIVERSITY

AWARDS | CONTENTS | DIVERSITY | LGTB+

PRODU Awards, together with the WAWA Association and the ODA Observatory, present four categories dedicated to diversity. Content from Ibero-America is participating.

The objective is to highlight key areas such as disability, radicalization, migration, identities, sexualities, and body diversity.

The PRODU 2025 Award recognizes the most outstanding talents, programs, productions, and formats on Ibero-American television. In the 9th edition of the awards ceremony, the PRODU Awards, the WAWA Association (Worldwide Audiovisual Women’s Association), and the ODA (Observatory of Diversity in Audiovisual Media of Spain) renew their partnership to reflect the variety of realities that coexist in the industry and also in society.

Jorge Gonzalo Alonso, presidente y director de Observatorio de la Diversidad en los Medios

“It’s important to celebrate the efforts being made, as well as the good examples. At ODA, we spend the year analyzing fiction to bridge the gap with activism and improve the representation of diversity; that’s why finding spaces for celebration like our awards or the PRODU Awards is very important to highlight the positive and educate through applause,” commented Jorge Gonzalo, President and Director of the Observatory of Diversity in Audiovisual Media (ODA).

These stories promote acceptance and appreciation of body diversity, thereby contributing to more equitable and respectful representation in the media.

Best Content: Racialization and Migration focuses on another major issue affecting global society. Here, the content stands out for its inclusive and authentic representation of racial and migrant diversity; it positively and respectfully showcases the experiences, cultures, and contributions of racialized and migrant people.
