Guillermo Francella will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the PLATINO XCARET Awards.
- Universo and Telexitos will broadcast a live telecast of the 13th edition of the PLATINO XCARET Awards—the ceremony recognizing the best in Spanish- and Portuguese-language cinema and television—this Saturday, May 9. The event will be re-broadcast on Telemundo at 12:30 AM ET / 11:30 PM CT.
From the Gran Tlachco Theater at Xcaret Park in the Riviera Maya, Mexico, this year’s ceremony will be hosted by Carlos Torres and Cayetana Guillén Cuervo. The red carpet pre-show will be hosted by Telemundo’s Lourdes Stephen alongside Carolina Ramírez, in an evening that will bring together prominent stars and industry figures to honor the finest productions and talent.
The PLATINO XCARET Awards will feature renowned personalities serving as presenters of the statuettes, including Alfredo Castro, Altair Jarabo, Ana Claudia Talancón, André Lamoglia, Antonia Zegers, Belén Rueda, Carmen Villalobos, Christian Meier, José Eduardo Derbez, Manolo Cardona, Michel Brown, and Andrea Pietra—winners for Best Supporting Actor and Actress in a Miniseries (El eternauta). During the gala, Guillermo Francella will be honored with the Honorary Award for his distinguished career as an Argentine actor, comedian, and producer across television, film, and theater.
The Awards will feature musical performances by Camilo, performing one of his greatest hits live; Manuel Carrasco, who will fuse flamenco and pop; and María Becerra, who will perform a pop ballad with urban touches.
