SIC’s telenovela “Promesa Rota” a huge audience success in Portugal, premiered on April 9th on Dori TV. It airs Monday through Friday at 10:00 PM and joins other SIC titles; “Eternal Love” airs on the same channel at 7:50 PM.
“La Promesa” adapted from Kanal D’s original format, “City of Mercilessness” (Zalim İstanbul), tells the story of two families from the same town, united by their shared origins but separated by opposing economic realities.
“Amor Eterno” focuses on the love story between Catarina, a poor young woman marked by a difficult past, and Vasco, one of the heirs of the influential Torres family. As Catarina embarks on a desperate search for her missing mother, her path inevitably crosses with a world of privilege, secrets, and hidden power struggles within the Torres family, amidst a complex succession crisis.
Both audiovisual properties were a great success with Portuguese audiences and critics. These releases mark a further step in the international visibility of contemporary Portuguese narrative, further consolidating the growing presence of SIC productions in the international market.
