‘Tan cerca de ti nace el amor’ is a telenovela that tells the story of Verónica Arellano, a woman who gives birth to a baby girl at a very young age but is forced by her parents to give her up for adoption. Forever marked by this tragedy, Verónica becomes a journalist in order to search for her daughter.
The telenovela stars Oka Giner and David Zepeda, alongside a cast that includes performances by Irina Baeva, Alejandro Ávila, Julián Gil, Ariana Saavedra, Alexis Ayala, Leticia Perdigón, Yolanda Ventura, and Jaime Maqueo, among others. The story is based on an original work by Enrique Estévanez, with an adaptation by Juan Carlos Alcalá and Rosa Salazar. The telenovela’s theme song is titled “Tan cerca de ti,” performed by María León.
Following its U.S. premiere on the ViX platform on May 1—with five new episodes released every Friday—the Mexican premiere will air Monday through Friday at 8:30 PM, beginning May 25. The television launch on Univision is scheduled for June 1. The production is helmed by Ignacio Sada.
