  • Francisco Ramos, Axel Kuschevatzky, Daniel Burman, Jorge Drexler, Gastón Gorali, Adam Chase, Javier Gómez Santander, and Arturo Chávez are among the standout figures featured in the event’s program.
  • Rafael Lazarini, founder of Rio2C, highlights the creative sector in Spanish-speaking Latin American nations—specifically Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, and Peru—citing their success in producing award-winning films, series, telenovelas, dramas, documentaries, and world-renowned animated works.

Talent, entrepreneurs, leaders, and executives from the audiovisual sector are gathered today for the 2026 edition of Rio2C, one of Latin America’s key industry events. Rafael Lazarini, Rio2C’s founder and his team anticipate that this seventh in-person edition, running from May 27 through May 31, will surpass last year’s attendance record, which reached 55,000 attendees and featured over 2,000 speakers and participants from 39 countries.

“Rio2C has expanded its international presence this year,” Lazarini told various media outlets. “We have worked specifically to break down the wall between Brazil and our Spanish-speaking neighbors, bringing in creators and executives from across Latin America. This 2026 edition cements Rio2C’s position as the premier meeting point for the audiovisual creative industries of Latin American nations.”

Lazarini underscores the strength of the creative sector in Spanish-speaking Latin American countries—specifically Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, and Peru—noting their significant global prominence in the audiovisual landscape across cinema, award-winning films, series, telenovelas, dramas, documentaries, sports content, and animation.
