The cast will be once again with Wendell Pierce, Khandi Alexander, Clarke Peters, Rob Brown and Steve Zahn, among others. And will again guest stars as Michiel Huisman, India Ennenga, Jon Seda and Chris Coy.
As in previous seasons, the last season of Treme will be inspired by real people and names characters linked to music and cuisine of New Orleans, as John Boutte, Kermit Ruffins, Don B, Ellis Marsalis, “Thrombone Shorty” Andrews, Dr. John Batiste and Terence Blanchard, who play themselves .
The fourth season of 5 chapters of the original drama series will be released on December 2 at 20:00 hrs in Latin America. The successful production shows as musicians, chefs, Mardi Gras Indians and other inhabitants of New Orleans, despite all difficulties, remain faithful to their cultural roots and dedicated to rebuild their lives, their homes and their culture after the disaster caused by hurricane Katrina in 2005.
The end of the series set in New Orleans 38 months after the calamity, at a time when President Barack Obama was elected to the White House, which brought optimism to these people rooted to their land still affected by the hurricane. In the last five episodes of the series, which run from November 2008 until Mardi Gras the carnival party of 2009, the promise of economic and cultural recovery is adversely affected by the economic crisis, police corruption and increasing violence and crime.
