A few months ago Televisa announced its interest in acquiring Megacable Holdings, but now the news that runs like wildfire, is that from 9/9 it will suspend the operator’s broadcast of its 14 channels of Televisa: Networks, Telehit, Comedy, Ritmoson, Unicable, Stars, Forum TV, Tiin, Golden, De Película, Golden Edge, Gala TV, Banda Max, Channel 5 and Tlnovelas will no longer broadcast on the platform, as they have reported to several local media in Mexico.
In a statement, Grupo Televisa said the entertainment division of the company is unaware of the reasons for the determination by Megacable, and said that the signals will remain available on other pay television systems by location. “Televisa regrets the decision of Megacable, given that denies their clients the most popular channels in entertainment, sports and news. We will be doing everything within our reach to audiences and consumers continue to enjoy our signals, including the search for Megacable, not affect the viewing public, “said Televisa.
