The Women’s Association W.A.W.A. held a board meeting in MIPTV 2019

Worldwide Audiovisual Women Association (W.A.W.A.), has been growing since its inception with women of vision in the future of the industry. The convening power that a group of united women can have, has been demonstrated in its two galas and has more than 400 women associated from different parts of the world.

 “The time has come to take our Association, a proud Non Profit Organization, to the next level,” commented the founding members of W.A.W.A.Liliam Hernández and Cecilia Gómez de la Torre “We want that, apart from being an extraordinary networking opportunity, will also serve to give employment opportunities, conduct business among us, grow in innovation issues, using all the technological tools”.

The founders invite women leaders in the industry to be part of the directory because it is the only way to grow, not only as an association, but as professionals.

Continuing with its objectives, the founding directors held a meeting within the framework of MIP TV in Cannes, yesterday Sunday, in which the entrepreneur Roxana Rotundo participated, as an integral and fundamental part to lead these changes. Also, important executives of the industry from different countries joined the directory at this meeting.

This new and international Directory was formed by: Liliam Hernandez, Cecilia Gómez de la Torre, Maria Bonaria Fois, Ana Cecilia Alvarado, Susana Umbert, Offra Elmkies, Emilia Nuccio, Maria Elena Paniza, Karina Martinez, Maria Elena Useche, Vanessa Velazquez to which are added Blanca Ponce and Analida López, who were recognized with the “WAWA Woman of the Year Award”, of the years 2018 and 2019 respectively.

They will collaborate with innovative and creative ideas that allow generating concrete growth actions and business development, as well as activities that help to promote the role of women in the industry. “A year of challenges and big projects for W.A.W.A is coming” said the founders. www.wawaassociation.com
