It was a bittersweet goodbye for fans of Univision’s “Vencer el Desamor” (Overcome Heartbreak), as the hit 8 p.m. telenovela reached 2.8 million Total Viewers 2+ during the one-hour series finale, becoming the No. 1 program on broadcast television regardless of language in primetime with Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

The finale telecast averaged 2.1 million Total Viewers 2+, 790,000 Adults 18-49 and 383,000 Adults 18-34, marking its highest-rated telecast in its full-run with Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers 2+. It also delivered double-digit audience growth compared to its premiere telecast among Total Viewers 2+ (+29%), Adults 18-49 (+31%) and Adults 18-34 (+79%).
“Vencer el Desamor” positioned Univision as the No. 1 broadcast network for the entire night, outperforming ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. Additionally, the telenovela drove Univision to a first-place finish on Spanish-language television for the entire night with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo across all key demos.
