The Colombian film “Alma de Héroe” has received several awards

Since its premiere in 2019, it has received several honors including the award for best fiction feature film at the II Hispanic Culture Film Festival (HCFF), and the ¨Public Award¨ at the prestigious Macondo Awards in Colombia.

It was the most watched at the recent Australian Latin American Film Festival (LAFF). Starring Jorge Soto, Stephanie Abello, Lincoln Palomeque, Linda Lucía Callejas, and Tiberio Cruz; and the main music by Juanes, who interprets the song ¨Me enamora¨ and a new acoustic version of ¨Volverte a ver¨.

At the distributor MEGA GLOBAL ENTERTAINMENT (MGE) directed by the renowned executive Esperanza Garay, they are very happy because the film in their catalog Alma de Héroe, directed by Orlando Pardo led the results of the most viewed films at the Virtual Latin American Film Festival from Australia, captivating 80% of the audience who attended the event through SBS On Demand

The film is set in the Colombian jungles, tells the story of Second Lieutenant Miguel Tabares, who embodies not only the military man who gives his life for his country, but also the human being full of fears, internal conflicts, and dreams.

In its sixteenth consecutive year, the festival was an effort by the Embassies of Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay, associated to carry the festival largest of its kind in the entire country; achieving greater national exposure in this edition thanks to the transmission via streaming with the SBS network.

Alma de Héroe is a film inspired by real events and characters, which seeks to humanize the theme of war, through a love story that takes place during the armed conflict in the Colombian jungles, which has been in the works for more than 60 years since it started.

The film is distributed internationally by MGE, which offers a wide variety of high-quality entertainment content for various audiovisual platforms around the world, including original productions, soap operas, series, films, as well as fiction and entertainment formats in general.
