Iberseries & Platino Industria has become the international benchmark for Spanish and Portuguese-speaking production

A space that has fostered the connection between business and creativity, as well as the exchange of ideas, projects, and financing opportunities.

In its second edition, it brought together more than 2,000 professionals from 35 countries, with a program of 300 activities, 130 accredited journalists, 164 projects presented, 36 screenings, 50 buyers and 37 exhibitor stand.

Within the framework of Ventana Sur, in Buenos Aires, an event that included the participation of Samuel Castro, co-director of Iberseries & Platino Industria, and Adriana Castillo, general coordinator of Platino Industria, accompanied by Ignacio Rey, president of FIPCA, and Raúl Torquemada, director of the Madrid Film Office.

EGEDA and Fundación Secuoya, in collaboration with FIPCA, renew their alliance so that both events (Iberseries and Platino Industria) return with their agenda, once again counting on the support of the Madrid City Council and the Community of Madrid, among other entities, such as ICEX Spain Exportation and Investment. Thus, the meeting of platforms, television channels, creatives, producers, distributors, buyers, and other agents in the sector, as well as organizations dedicated to tourism, education and new technologies linked to the audiovisual industry already have a date to meet.

At the presentation ceremony at Ventana Sur in Argentina, Samuel Castro, co-director of Iberseries & Platino Industria, and Adriana Castillo, general coordinator of Platino Industria, accompanied by Ignacio Rey, recently appointed president of FIPCA, and Raúl Torquemada, director of the Madrid Film Office, for the promotion of filming and the audiovisual of the Madrid City Council.

Samuel Castro said that “it will be an international benchmark year for Ibero-American production, gathered in a common meeting space to promote the connection of trade and promotion of creative talent, the exchange of ideas, projects, as well as financing and co-production opportunities.”

Adriana Castillo assured that “Iberseries & Platino Industria is a space to create business synergies, promote the development and sale of Hispanic and Portuguese content for the world”.

164 new projects were presented in the Pitch sessions for Platforms, Producers and Distributors, in the Co-Production Forums and in the Showrunners Workshop.

The companies that evaluated the projects selected in the Pitch were Ánima, Dandelooo, Delart Distribution, Dopamine, HBO Max Latin America, Punta Fina Factoría de Contenidos, Secuoya Studios, Sony Pictures Television, Sony Pictures International Productions, TELEMUNDO STREAMING STUDIOS, a Division of NBCUniversal and Under The Milky Way.
