GLOBAL EVENTS | AUDIOVISUAL CONTENTS
With significant participation from the audiovisual sector, the market organized by the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA) and the Marché du Film de Cannes, closed its fourteenth edition.
One of the great novelties of this year was the presence of Spanish Screenings on Tour.
The award ceremony was attended by Nicolás Batlle, acting vice president of the INCAA Presidency; Cecilia Diez, general producer of Ventana Sur and manager of International and Institutional Affairs at INCAA; Jérôme Paillard, executive director of the Marché du Film de Cannes; and Bernardo Bergeret, executive director of Ventana Sur.
This year, the audiovisual market brought together directors, producers, and industry leaders. The participants attended conferences, panels, projections, training sessions and pitching, which allowed a strategic exchange for the purchase and sale of audiovisual content, as well as the realization of co-productions between Latin American countries.
The video game had a presence, through the Maquinitas section, the documentary, with DocSur and Punto Género, a section aimed at promoting feature films in development by women and/or non-binary gender filmmakers from Latin America.
One of the great novelties of this year was the presence of Spanish Screenings on Tour, which chose Ventana Sur to celebrate its first edition, since Latin America is a strategic territory for the development of Spanish audiovisuals. Its activities, which were presented under the slogan “Spanish Audiovisual: Talent and Future”, have been very well received, both the Animate, Perspectives, Series and Remakes breakfasts, as well as the round tables and conferences on new talents, digital creation, or the presentation of the next Spanish Screenings Content 2023 that will take place at the Malaga Festival.
