The National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA) and the Marché du Film of the Cannes Festival are celebrating 15 years of this new edition of Ventana Sur, which began yesterday, November 27, and ends on December 1 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
At the Argentine Catholic University (UCA) today, Tuesday the 28th and tomorrow the 29th, the event offers a thematic axis ‘Solo Series’
For the third consecutive year, Flixxo participates tomorrow, Wednesday the 29th, Adrián Garelik, CEO of Flixxo and Bluebits, will be part of the Non-traditional financing methods panel.
‘Solo Series’ is the market within Ventana Sur that brings together the outstanding series and microseries projects from Latin America, a key space that brings together showrunners, scriptwriters, and series producers from the region. For the third consecutive year, Flixxo will participate in the meeting with a pitch for microseries in development, detecting and promoting the talent of young independents.
Today, Tuesday, the 10 selected and mentored projects – out of a total of 112 – will be presented at the “Flixxo Pitching Sessions” in front of the industry and a prestigious jury led by Pedro Levatti, VP of content at Flixxo, Iván Stoessel, content development manager at Paramount, Gabriela Cortés and Andrea Meneses, founders of “La Villana”, and Samuel Castro, director of Iberseries. There will be three winners, a first prize of U$1,000 in bitcoin and two mentorships for project development.
In addition, tomorrow Wednesday at 1:00 p.m., Adrián Garelik –CEO of Flixxo and Bluebits– will be part of the panel ‘Non-traditional financing methods: the community breaks the mold’, together with Ana Garcia Blaya, Director of “La Uruguaya”, “Comunidad Orsai ”, Gabriela Cortés and Andrea Meneses from La Villana will talk about collective financing, crowdfunding and web3 tools, among other discussion points.
