‘The Match that Changed History’, ‘Rio-Paris: The Tragedy of Flight 447’, the new season of ‘Intolerantes’ and ‘Manía de Ti’ are some of the most outstanding products.
Globo is present at the last international events of the year, launching series and documentaries, as well as telenovelas, classic titles and formats. Among the most outstanding are the Globoplay Originals, as well as the telenovelas ‘Renacer’, ‘Manía de Ti’, by João Emanuel Carneiro (‘Avenida Brasil’), currently broadcasting in primetime on TV Globo.
“We have a portfolio that shows our ability to meet the different needs of the market. We have action and suspense plots, lighter dramas, documentary series and classic stories. We are also betting on the format sales model, because we understand that it is a way of combining our DNA with local production,” says Pablo Ghiglione, Head of International Co-production.
After a successful first season, ‘Intolerantes’, created by Lucas Paraizo (‘Bajo Presión’), with artistic direction by Luisa Lima (‘Dónde está mi corazón’), maintains the essence of polarized coexistence between neighbors in the second season. The documentary series ‘Rio-Paris – The tragedy of flight 447’ tells how an unfortunate chain of events, technological and procedural failures caused the plane to crash into the sea.
Scripted and Unscripted Formats
Globo continues to invest in the business model of selling scripted and unscripted formats, after the agreement with the production company Ay Yapım from Turkey for the adaptation of ‘Avenida Brasil’. “We are happy to open new opportunities and find clients from regions such as Europe, Asia, the Middle East and America” says Angela Colla, Director of International Business and Co-productions.
