One of the jurors, Louise Courvoisier (French director and screenwriter), commented: “For her authenticity and impeccably crafted performances, for giving equal attention to each role, for her delicate handling of morally questionable characters with humor, tenderness, and for her originality and unexpected twists, the Jury Prize goes to “A Poet” by Simon Mesa.”

The film was written and directed by Simón Mesa Soto, with photography by Juan Sarmiento G., ADFC, and BVK.
