The film El Gato Negro was projected in the Casa Argentina in Rome

On Wednesday September 9 was projected in the Casa Argentina in Rome, to a full house the film “Gato Negro” of Gaston Gallo, awarded at the International Film Festival of Milan-Miff Awards 2015. Within this framework, Luciano Cáceres received the award for Best International Actor. In addition, the film was also honored Best Art Direction. These awards are added to those that they already received in Los Angeles and Bogota as best Director and Best Foreign Film at Sunscreen Festival in Los Angeles and, winner of the Bronze Precolumbian Circle in Bogota.

Gato Negro tells the life of Tito Pereyra, an Argentine whose permanent contrasts seem to mark his fate.

The story spans from childhood (with an absent father) in a village of Tucuman in 1956 until the 80’s democracy in Buenos Aires. In this course makes decisions that will change his life forever. The film shows a human being full of lights and shadows. It is the life of a survivor struggling from his childhood to adulthood, to twist his fate. In a society that was hostile, with enormous effort and ambition manages to blast his way. The character moves with great omnipotence, which allows him to grow and which risks everything.
