Endemol Shine Group, signed an agreement with SBT of Silvio Santos to develop at the end of the year a new season of the GameShow, which was last broadcast in the country in 2011. Brazil is the tenth market to bring back this format so far this year.
In addition to Brazil, “Deal or No Deal” is ready to return to nine other markets this year, including the Netherlands, where it was originally launched in 2006, Central and Eastern Europe. It will also return to the United States after a nine year recess, as CNBC ordered a new installment of the game show, which will be conducted by its original host, Howie Mandel.
“There is a real resurgence in game shows formats, and ‘Deal or No Deal’ is one of our formats that has most traveled and captivated audiences worldwide. We are really excited that Brazil is the tenth market to recover this program this year,” commented in a statement Lisa Perrin, CEO of Creative Networks of Endemol Shine Group.
