TV Azteca Internacional premieres María Magdalena in Angola and Mozambique

After the negotiation in MIPCOM past by Berta Orozco, Sales representative (Spain, Africa, MENA, Asia and francophone countries) of TV Azteca Internacional, the series (60×60) premiered last December 5th.

Maria Magdalena

The co-production between Dopamine and Sony Pictures Television is captivating audiences in this part of the world through the ZAP Novelas channel in Angola and Mozambique at 8:00 pm Monday through Friday. María Magdalena is a historical melodrama that recreates the life of a passionate woman in a time of oppression, different from the others, that defies the laws of a corrupt society dominated by men.

In a world of vices and betrayals, she is forced to flee and thus try to forget her past. On the eve of her death in the desert she meets Jesus, who will make her understand the meaning of true love, a pure and impossible love that will return Faith and the will to live.

From a rejected woman, she becomes the most important disciple of the Nazarene Prophet.

“At TV Azteca International we are very happy to close the first agreement with Angola and Mozambique for the sale of this excellent and super production. Because it reflects today’s empowered women with very current problems,” said Patricia Jasín, VP of TV Azteca International.
