The event that is celebrating its 25th anniversary opened its doors yesterday 26, for three days in Cartagena Colombia, brings together key leaders and players from the cable TV industry and OTT’s from Latin America. TVMAS has been present for 20 years.

The event organized by Luz Marina Arango has the collaboration of the American SCTE and is characterized by the technical training sessions for cable operators and Internet access providers in the region.

In its first day, chats were presented with the already traditional prominent speakers such as engineers Tomás Delgado Paredes and Juan García Bish, journalist Gabriel Levy and Dr. Fernando Devis Morales, who over the last few years have been analyzing industry trends, its relationship with telcos and the irruption of streaming services.

The average number of attendees this year is calculated at more than 2,500 according to Arango’s expectations.

The event is also a window to be updated with regard to regulatory policies of the entities ANTV (National Television Authority of Colombia), the CRC (Communications Regulation Commission) and the Colombian ministerial planning agencies.
