Who are the main buyers and in which countries do you sell?
HG Distribution main buyers are mostly TV Broadcasters and digital platforms from across the globe. In the past months, our business deals mostly originated from European Countries, Russia, Germany and North America which markets remained really active despite the pandemic.
What kind of content do you sell and what have been the latest deals and sales made?
At HG Distribution, we have content for everyone! Documentaries, TV Series, Kid programs, Youth programs, Adult programs, Web Series, Movies, etc. It’s like our motto says: Looking for Content… Just ask for it! We are very proud of our latest deal with the platform ‘Chill’ from Russia. The latter made the acquisition of 42 wonderful Web Series we have to offer.
How do you find your content and in what languages are the contents in?
Our wide variety content catalog is our pride and is intended for all type of demographics and platforms. We strive to choose content with an international language. If some of our content is in the original French version, we make sure to get them subtitled or dubbed in English.
In your opinion, how is the behavior of buyers in this pandemic and how do you foresee the coming months?
The pandemic changed the way we create contacts with buyers. All big TV Industry Markets having been cancelled, we now have to deal with a virtual world type of communication – no more handshakes. Although, ironically, the situation has made it easier to create direct contacts with buyers over the phone which was more difficult to do before the pandemic. One thing is for sure, in the upcoming months we will see the direct results of this continuously evolving situation to which the TV industry has to adapt.
Is there a drop in prices and greater competition?
Not greater competition, but effectively a drop prices.
To conclude, the CEO of the company says that they have achieved a greater presence on the web. “A more increase presence on the web. With the markets that are now online, give priority to phone calls rather than emails”
