Emilio Aliaga Vice President of Azteca Digital ensures that they are ready to receive the new challenges in 2021, with the renewal of their platforms and the creation of original strategies and content.

Azteca Deportes’ menu expands through its various digital platforms; Although they have always shown content on these platforms, now they are renewed to provide a different experience and create synergy with the audience.
“Part of the strategy is that we have renewed all our platforms and we are leaving being a place of results, although we will continue to have them, but we are making progress in becoming a strong place of original content, and for this reason we have developed more than 15 different programs in 100 percent digital format”, pointed out Emilio Aliaga.
And he said that part of this content can be seen through stories for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, in addition to the Azteca Deportes website.
“We have created content to connect with our audience; we talk about sports, we also offer a range of very interesting products that are completely digital programs in short formats of 5 to 6 minutes in which we touch on current issues”, explained Aliaga, who in the last year has dedicated himself to capitalizing on the opportunities in the digital world from this new trench in Azteca.
These original contents will also be accompanied by new faces through programs such as “Ellas Retan”, “Desde la redacción” and “Nerds Sports”. He stressed that in this way they become a stronger and more robust platform, which is why they have bought new rights for the exclusive transmission of sporting events of interest, such as Bundesliga (European Soccer), Formula E, among others.
“Our digital platform has a life of its own. Azteca Deportes is much more than we thought and that is the spirit of the campaign and what it is doing”, highlights Aliaga, stressing that today they have more than 15 programs that are digital.

Creativity is the core that Aliaga says has helped them get ahead in these pandemic times. “It has been a challenging year and we have worked hard during this time. We have had significant growth in our digital platform; From February of this year to date, we have doubled the audience and we are on track for next year with some reformed platforms that will provide new content”, concluded Emilio Aliaga, VP of Azteca Digital.
