The dramatic comedy created by Oficina Burman from Argentina, and starring Mariana Treviño, began filming in Mexico, to premiere this year on the ViacomCBS streaming service

VIS, a division of ViacomCBS, announced the start of filming for its dramatic comedy Cecilia, which is part of the Paramount + streaming platform’s original content portfolio.
“Cecilia is one of the first VIS originals for Paramount + and that fills us with pride and expectation, because it marks the beginning of a new stage for our studio,” said Federico Cuervo, SVP & Head of VIS Americas. “This story will undoubtedly cross the screen and challenge the audience, because it deals with various high-impact topics that will immediately generate empathy with the audience.”
The series, starring Mariana Treviño (Club de Cuervos, Narcos: México) tells the story of a woman whose world seemingly falls apart when she suffers a stroke. But what at first seems like a tragedy ends up being an opportunity to reunite her family and rebuild her life.

Created by renowned writer and director Daniel Burman, the series is directed by Ihtzi Hurtado and is executive produced by Inna Payán.
