Sergio, what you have done here through these 22 years, is invaluable,” said Ricardo Salinas Pliego, President of Grupo Salinas, last night during the celebration of the 22nd anniversary of La Entrevista con Sarmiento.

With innumerable personalities from the political life, artistic, intellectual, social and business national and international circles gathered at the Industrial Club of Mexico City and Ricardo Salinas recognized the extraordinary work that over the years has made the journalist.
Sergio Sarmiento, after thanking all his guests for their presence to the anniversary, gave an emotional speech about the different ways of being corageous: “Personally, I have preferred this form, which is the dialogue. La Entrevista has given me an opportunity for 22 years of having a political dialogue for the construction of a new country.”

He also added that “when the program aired, there were no spaces for opposition figures or they were always very limited. Ricardo Salinas has his way of being brave and I am very grateful, because without you this program would not have survived, and we know it.”

La Entrevista con Sarmiento is an open space for reflection and plurality that, since its birth, on June 9, 1997, promoted by Ricardo Salinas Pliego, President of Grupo Salinas, continues to be a scenario to learn about the different points of view of the protagonists who build day by day the national and world reality.
